We Believe
that God’s love is limitless! God’s love is powerful and transformational.
As Christians, we believe in one true God whose love has no boundaries. We believe that
God sent Jesus Christ into this world as the ultimate teacher of truth and of the power of
transformational love.
As United Methodists, we believe that we can make a difference in our world when we live by the example of Jesus. We believe in God’s prevenient, justifying and sanctifying grace. As we grow together in our faith, we gain a deeper understanding of God’s love and learn how to pass that love and acceptance on to others. We believe in feeding and clothing those in need, aiding victims of all types of disaster, and advocating for social justice everywhere.

We will continue to seek avenues to grow and renew our own spiritual growth so we
can proclaim the Good News, recognize and respond to the needs of others throughout
the world and show love for others in our service to the community.
We hope that the love of God will radiate from us and that you will find healing in our worship space. We hope that you will be lifted up by beautiful music, meaningful prayer, lessons in scripture and verse, messages of love and comfort, and the experience of being welcomed into fellowship.

DUMC acts in many ways to uphold and fulfill its mission. All people are welcome and
encouraged to join our fellowship. We strive to provide an atmosphere of acceptance
and comfort to all who enter into our worship and activities. We share the Good News of
Jesus Christ and provide various opportunities for spiritual growth in a caring and safe
space. We are joyful in song, reverent in prayer and keen to help others in need. We
graciously provide clothing, food and support to those who are less fortunate than we
are.
Our mission and outreach work connects us with others in our area and around the
world. We answer the call to help during times of natural disaster and at other times
when love and support are needed. There are countless ways that we connect with
our friends and with those we have never met. We do so by sending a card, making a
phone call, sending an email or a text, messaging on social media, or via our
website. We stand alongside each other when we carry out mission work or in efforts
to bring about awareness to issues of importance. Whether we meet in person or
through a screen, we can inform, seek help, give support and show love to others.
