Our Pastor
Pastor Robyn Hays started with Dryden United Methodist Church on July 1, 2021.

She was ordained in 1994 (deacon) and 1998 (elder) in what is now the Upper New York Conference. She has previously served churches in Horseheads, Pennellville, Trumansburg, and the Lake Ontario Parish.

Her husband David Hays is retired but was also a pastor. Robyn has 2 two children, a dog named Caramel and a chinchilla named Mr. Buttons. Robyn grew up in Ithaca and has family in the area.

In the fall of 2019, Robyn entered the Doctor of Ministry program at Northeastern Seminary (which is part of Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester). Robyn holds an undergraduate degree in both mathematics and religion.

Robyn has a variety of hobbies and in her words, "I am a proud science-fiction geek who loves sci-fi books and movies (I went to school with Clem Sagan). I have also been called a Bible nerd because I adore cool Bible minutia. I enjoy Bible studies, visiting with people, leading uplifting worship, and I love to laugh. Two of my favorite vices (to be enjoyed in moderation) are dark chocolate and good coffee".
