I grew up in a farming village nestled among the flat
topped hills south of Utica, NY. Raised in a Christian
home, I eventually claimed for myself a personal and
communal relationship with Jesus Christ. Themes of
justice-seeking and peace-making move my heart very
deeply and have influenced the way I live my faith.
After receiving a call to Christian ministry during my
time at a liberal arts college, I invested several years in
following Christ as Mission Intern of the General Board of
Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. These
years deepened my faith and called me to learn to
trust in others as I lived among the generous people of
Brasil and Albuquerque, NM.
When my Seminary training was complete, I was
commissioned to begin my ministry as a Pastor. Today I
serve in Dryden as an Elder in full connection with the
Upper New York Conference of the UMC. I continue to
be amazed at the joy and challenge that this work
brings. Psalm 9 comes to mind, “I will give thanks to you,
Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.”
Having grown up playing outside, I
continue to enjoy time in God’s creation.
