Rev. Pam Carey
Our Pastor
Pastor Pam Carey grew up on Long Island, came to Ithaca for
college, and came back again with her husband to raise their
children in Trumansburg. Pam was called to the ministry after
enjoying a rewarding career as a physical therapist. She attended
Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, graduating in 2013. She has
served two churches in the MountainView district before coming to
Dryden.
Pam believes that God calls to and welcomes all people, and that
the church should reflect God's love, welcoming all who want to
draw closer to God. The church exists to share God's love in a way
that transforms lives, and transforms the world around us. We are all
called to be followers of the risen Christ, and we help each other
along the way.
Prayer and service are both important parts of the life of the church
and our lives as individuals. Prayer is the starting place that brings us
closer to God. Serving others starts with prayer, and listening to what
God wants us to do. Worship keeps us connected to God and to each
other.
